Terms of Service
Version 2026-10.1 · in effect from Oct 21, 2026
These terms govern the use of the ICAA Membership Portal, operated by Innovation Center for AI in Automation (ICAA), Troy, Michigan. By signing in or creating an account you accept them for yourself and, when you act for an organization, confirm that you may do so. A membership itself is governed by the ICAA Membership Terms.
Accounts
- An account belongs to a person who works for a member organization, an applicant, an Advisory Board member or ICAA. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- An owner of an organization decides who in it may use the portal and what they may do. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Information you give must be accurate, including in an application, a self-disclosure or an attestation.
Acceptable use
- Use the portal for the business of your organization's membership and within the law.
- Do not enter student information, or information you have no right to share.
- Do not try to reach data you are not permitted to see, test or break the portal's security, overload it, or collect its content by automated means.
- Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, infringing or abusive. ICAA may remove content that breaks these terms.
Your content
You and your organization keep the rights to what you add. You allow ICAA to store, process and show it as the portal works: within your organization, to ICAA staff, and to other members where the feature is meant for it (a published Showcase profile, a published need, a published self-disclosure). Remove what you no longer want shown, or ask us to.
Membership, purchases and payments
Memberships, renewals, invoices, App Store orders and payments by ICAA to members are governed by the ICAA Membership Terms and the prices shown when you confirm. Products and services in the App Store are provided by their vendors under the vendors' own terms; a self-disclosure is the vendor's statement, which ICAA reviews but does not guarantee.
AI features
An organization may connect an AI service it already uses. Its requests are processed by that provider under the organization's own agreement, and the organization is responsible for that agreement, its costs and its use. AI answers can be wrong; check them before acting on them. The portal limits what it sends to what the organization's AI policy allows.
Availability and changes
ICAA works to keep the portal available and secure but does not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Planned maintenance is announced in the Help Center. ICAA may change or withdraw features; a change that affects what a member has paid for is made under the Membership Terms.
Suspension and closing
ICAA may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the portal or others at risk, and will say why unless the law or security prevents it. You may stop using the portal at any time; the Membership Terms say what happens to a membership.
Disclaimers and liability
The portal is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, ICAA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for products, services or AI providers it does not operate, and its total liability for the portal is limited to the fees the organization paid ICAA in the twelve months before the claim.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. When they change, the new version and its date appear on this page, and continuing to use the portal after that date means accepting it. Questions: support@icaa.ai.
